Privacy and Security – FAQ

1. Are your information systems secured?

Yes, Nethris® uses the same security technology as most Canadian banks do for their Internet services; in other words, links encrypted using the SSL (Secure Socket Layering) protocol, with 128-bit encoding. All of our information exchanges are done via secure fibre-optic cables.

2. Will my employees’ personal information be safe?

As a wholly-owned subsidiary of CGI group, Nethris® (CGI Payroll Services Centre Inc.) is committed to protecting personal information, operational data and information relating to their clients and employees and follows rigorous rules of conduct in this matter. On this topic, CGI’s Global Privacy and Data Protection Policy states the principles we follow in order to meet our privacy objectives.

3. Can we be sure that employees who use the self-service will not be able to view other employees' information?

Yes. Access is secured and each employee receives a unique, confidential username and password to access only his or her own payroll information. Employees can modify their password during their first log in.

4. Will I be able to restrict access to certain functions or to certain groups of employees?

Yes. Our Nethris Internet Suite, PC Payroll and IP Payroll solutions all come equipped with several security parameters that let you manage access to employee files, companies, functions, reports, etc.
